Hello.

I moved house last year and I have a south facing 13 metre x 10 metre garden that’s in terrible condition. It has an infestation of Horse Tail and moss. It has two dead fruit trees and a slight up hill gradient so water gathers in lower corner.

I would like to remove the grass, moss and two trees establish a drainage system. Treat for horse tail, test for Ph value and adjust, fertilize and compost etc in some good size raised beds to grow veggies and herbs. I would also like to grow some flowers to encourage friendly insects and make it look more appealing.

My knowledge is so far is from the net, so I’m a real novice so need some expert advise and help please.

Thank-you so much for my garden. I am really looking forward to Spring. I can’t wait. I used to be a huge gardener in B.C. (with a greenhouse and everything!) but everything was so different here that I tried the first couple of years and became discouraged. I love this Co-op!!!!

Hi, I am very interested in hearing more about your workshops. I am a beginner gardener and find value in various types of gardens, from bonsai/zen to herb and vegetable/fruit and all that is in between.
I am also about to transfer my potted trees for the winter and would like tips on how to do it safely (for the plant) and what I should do over the winter.

Many thanks for the $ provide to Ben Murphy Kakoske in lui of his fathers compost bin contribution.
$ will be used to send Ben to Camp Stevens for his second summer in a row.
Ben is a great Gardner and will be planting watermelon ..again, this summer at our community garden lot on churchill drive.
